Every American deserves access to affordable, high-quality care. For far too long, discrimination and systemic racism have served as barriers to health equity for minority and underserved communities. Health insurance providers know that ending these barriers to care is key to an equitable health care system and that work starts with listening.
That’s why ÐÜèÊÓƵis pleased to launch its Health Equity Spotlight. As part of its continued commitment to improve health equities and in honor of Black History Month, ÐÜèÊÓƵspoke with prominent leaders in health care to better understand the role health insurance providers must play in improving health equity. These conversations lay the foundation for the work we all must do to fight racism and discrimination, both in health care and beyond.
ÐÜèÊÓƵand its health insurance provider members will continue to listen—and to act—until every American has an equal opportunity to good health.
