On September 19, ÐÜèÊÓƵaddressed a letter to House and Senate leaders, outlining our priorities and concerns on issues that negotiators are considering in their deliberations over the opioid legislation in Congress.
Our letter focuses on three categories of issues: (1) steps that are needed to ensure that the final legislative package is effective in addressing the opioid crisis; (2) support for the CREATES Act and opposition to combining this proposal with language that would weaken recently enacted Medicare Part D improvements; and (3) opposition to budget offsets that would place additional burdens on employer-sponsored insurance and divert funds away from Medicaid managed care programs.
