Shoulder length ringlet curl crochet braids

Shown client has done this style before so this was a re installation. For those wondering how long crochet braids last for- it varies between 4-8 weeks depending on how well they are preserved. The best way to preserve your hair is to avoid tampering with it- that’s literally it- synthetic hair has the tendency to matt quickly if it is tampered with so avoid doing this. Also wear a shower cap in the shower and Bonnet to bed- Although very elementary- many people fail to do this which is why their hair does not last as long! Spritzing the hair with a bit of water every now and then also keeps the curls looking refreshed.

This spunky client decided to do daring grey and black, bottom length braids! I used 13 packs of hair 😱 but the outcome was great!
This is a great protective style for those who want to give their hair a break no matter what state or length.

Shoulder length crochet braids with Marley hair/ perimeter and side parting leave out

20150428-154810.jpg

As a first timer, this lovely lady wanted a very natural look hence the leave out and shorter length. She was initially worried that her naturally curly textured hair would not blend with the coarser textured Marley hair but this wasn’t an issue, evidently it is very difficult to decipher the difference between the two textures.
Lovely and very natural looking turn out!

Shoulder length crochet braids with perimeter leave out and side invisible parting

20150423-073436.jpg

This client sought a natural look hence why I left her natural hair around the perimeter of the head, and did an invisible side parting.
I’m constantly stating how versatile styling can be with the Marley
Hair , especially with a leave out but never show it. The image of the client’s hair in a bun is to illustrate this versatility. Evidently, it looks like her natural hair and there are no bumps , knots or lumps in sight!

Chin length curly bob crochet braids with layered bang

20150417-102943.jpg

This client has had this style done before (scroll down a few posts), and I think it’s pretty obvious why she chose to do it again-the shorter length curls and bangs frame her face very well and the volume suits her energetic personality!

Shoulder length crochet braids with Marley hair and invisible parting

Another light, natural looking style with an invisible parting to enhance the realistic look. The image of the cornrows is simply to show the braid pattern I use for this particular style. Doing cornrows all the way back increases hair mobility and styling versatility.
Overall a very pleased client!

Shoulder length tightly curled crochet braids with invisible side parting

20150413-160531.jpg

Although these kind of curls have the tendency to produce a lot of volume rather quickly , this client wanted a very tame look, so I put less hair at the back, and filled it up towards the front.
Both the client and I were pleased with the cute, finished look.
The invisible parting is great if you’re seeking a more natural look also.
