Maternal & Reproductive Health

Our Position

For women, access to care is a critical issue: Overall, women are higher users of health care resources than men due to longer life expectancies, reproductive health needs, and maternity care. There are slightly more than (ages 15 to 49) in the United States and today, reproductive health care services must evolve to meet a woman’s unique care needs. That’s why health insurance providers are committed to providing women with an array of important reproductive health care services. These services encompass prevention (e.g., contraception) and all needed screenings, as well as maternity and pre- and post-partum health.
